About me
Hello and a warm welcome to my profile. I am a compassionate, caring and authentic counsellor, with a wealth of training and life experience. Taking the brave step of talking therapy, along with the additional listening and non-judgmental ear, can make significant improvements to your life, mindset and overall wellbeing. I know this firsthand. This will also positively impact your decision making, clarity and confidence. As a further result it will enhance your relationship with others: from your family, partner, parents, friends and work colleagues. Building a positive relationship with yourself first is key to ensuring life long growth and resilence.
During the counselling sessions, I address what has brought you to invest in the process of therapy. Beginning where you feel you need to, that is not necessarily at the beginning either. We will explore and work at a pace you are comfortable with, in a calm, safe and exploratory environment.
My service is bespoke. I tailor individual sessions to meet your needs; using trained theories and approaches in my application. The most important aspect of the sessions is the therapeutic relationship we build. Trust, respect, empathy and understanding are key. Feeling and knowing you are heard, valued, and understood is a fundamental.
I offer face to face, online and walking in nature sessions. I also teach and encourage the use of breathwork, positive self talk and EFT (tapping) to promote self care and self regulation for wellness and overall wellbeing.
In addition, I am a trained teacher and have worked in educational settings from nursery to high school for nearly two decades now. Therefore, my experience, knowledge and understanding enables me to support individuals from 5 years plus.
Thank you for your interest; I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

If you are in a position where you are unable to pay the full expected amount for our sessions, please inform me of this so I can make a relative adjustment. My belief is that counselling should be accessible to all and I am happy to assist this with a reduced fee.
