About me

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

Thank you so much for visiting my site.  The quote above is by a lady called Anaïs Nin, the quote is one in which I firmly believe and embodies how vulnerable people feel when considering contacting a Counsellor for the first time.  It is always helpful to talk to someone, especially when that someone is trained to listen and help in a specialised and interactive way.  A counsellor is not there to judge you, nor are they there to tell you what to do.  Instead counselling provides a safe and respectful environment to express and explore your feelings and troubles.  Together we can create a path of acceptance and work together to heal and change.

My name is Moira, I am a Person-Centred Counsellor, however I work in an integrative style using a number of approaches in order to offer what each individual client needs.  I offer a safe, confidential, warm and respectful environment in which to hold one-to-one sessions, with parking right outside the door.  I also offer online counselling via Zoom or Teams.  Appointments are available Monday to Saturday, including evenings.

Being empathetic, understanding and a good listener are qualities I value in myself as a Counsellor.  I also believe that having a positive relationship with clients is key in order to build trust and allow you to share your feelings.  This will allow you to find a pathway forward through whichever situation or issues you are faced with.

If you feel you would like to work with me, please feel free to contact me via mobile, text or email and I will get back to you within 24 hours.

Thank you again for visiting my profile and I look forward to hearing from you.
