About me

I am an Integrative psychotherapist and I hold a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton.

As an Integrative psychotherapist, I work across several key modalities, blending together aspects of humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural therapy, tailoring the approach to the individual. At the heart of this is the relationship between therapist and client, which I believe is the vehicle for change. It is a relationship built on trust, collaboration, and open communication.

Many of us experience difficulties in our lives, but we don't have a safe space where we can talk about things, and express ourselves freely. My psychotherapy practice is a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and attended to, without judgement. I am here to listen and to help you to listen to yourself. My role is to facilitate a deeper understanding of what it is that is bothering you, or keeping you stuck so that you can move forward with renewed confidence and self-compassion.

Engaging in a therapeutic relationship means being an active participant in your own story. You are the agent of change, and I am here to hold, support and contain the difficult parts of your process. Together, we explore what it is that is holding you back, and with new insight and understanding, you can rebuild yourself as the person you truly are.

I offer both short and long-term sessions, depending on your needs.

If you feel you might like to work with me, I offer a brief introductory 15-20 minute phone call, free of charge, to tell you a bit more about myself and how I work and where you can ask any questions you might have.

We may decide to arrange an initial session, which is a chance for you to reflect on what you hope to gain from therapy and why now is the best time for you. It's also an opportunity for us both to get to know each other a bit more and see if we might be a good fit. There is no obligation to continue beyond this session.

The pace is always led by you, and you may leave therapy at any time. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place at the same time each week.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
