About me

Hello and welcome to my profile.

Are you feeling sad, anxious, angry or in any way that doesn't feel right for you?

Life can bring many different and unexpected challenges. It is in times like these talking to someone can be helpful. Safety, confidentiality and non-judgement is paramount in a professional counselling relationship.

Talking to someone about your private feelings may feel unusual, therefore trust is really important. I am committed to working with you at your pace, no matter if your feelings are too big or small.

Each one of us is an individual and I work with whatever you bring to each session. I provide a safe, confidential space for you to express yourself freely without judgement. I am committed to offering a supportive therapeutic relationship and trusting working alliance.

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I work with different theoretical approaches to provide my own counselling style. I work from a foundation of person-centered counselling, alongside solution-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, transactional analysis and grief theory.

I have experience of working with a range of clients from different backgrounds. I have worked with clients who have experienced sadness, stress, depression, anxiety, anger, loneliness, relationship problems, family problems, eating disorder recovery, loss, bereavement, bereavement by suicide, phobias, suicidal thoughts and self harm.

If you would like to learn more about my service or would like to enquire about sessions, please email me or visit my website.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
