About me

Hello, I am an experienced Art Psychotherapist and Supervisor, registered with the HCPC. I work with children, young people, adults and students in training.

I have extensive experience working in schools and the NHS, working with anxiety low mood,  bullying, peer pressure, academic pressure, low self-esteem, relationship issues, loss, bereavement, trauma, identity, cultural and gender issues.

I provide a safe and confidential space to explore, reflect and listen, and offer short and long term therapy.

My primary approach is creative, using art materials with psychodynamic thinking to explore feelings that can often relate to past as well as on-going experiences that may have not been resolved or that continue to cause upset. Using art materials is an alternative form of communication that can connect us to our unconscious past and often helps to name, understand and then talk about how we feel when those emotions seem too difficult or overwhelming. This approach is not about being good at art but is about trying to understand how we may be feeling and helps us express and work through our difficulties.

It is also ok, to come and just talk and not use art materials.

If you would like to discuss / consult or find out more, please contact me and I am happy to discuss possibilities. I offer both online and face to face work.
