About me

A bit about me:

I’m a fully qualified psychotherapist, with a BSc in Integrative Therapy and 5 years of clinical experience. I am currently offering online therapy sessions to clients of all ages.

As a children’s, young person’s and adult psychotherapist, I have been fortunate enough to share the journey of healing from trauma with clients within multiple well-renowned agencies.

My specialism is working with clients who have experienced or have been witness to, sexual abuse. I work with clients to process and manage the impact of past trauma, be this in their sleep patterns, relationships, anxiety or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Trauma can impact us not only mentally, but also physically, with many people experiencing physical signs of trauma within their bodies, often unknowingly.

My other areas of experience include;

  • Working with neurodivergent clients (ADHD, ASD)
  • Working with shame
  • Play Therapy
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills training
  • Dissociative Identity Disorders
  • Attachment theory
  • Grief and Loss
  • Solution Focused, Time Limited Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Training, qualifications & experience

My experience began volunteering within a low cost agency in Hornchurch, Essex before joining a team of counsellors at the Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse. Here, I worked with adults, young people and children from 5 years of age using play therapy and creative techniques to assist those that have experienced or have been witness to sexual violence in their childhoods.

In addition to the above, I have worked for the online therapy platform Mable Therapy, offering sessions to clients from 7 years of age with a range of presenting issues, including anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, trauma and school refusal.

As the Manager of a Low Cost Service in London, I understand the importance of the therapeutic relationship, which is why I offer all clients a free no obligatory 15 minute introductory call before deciding whether you would like to attend an assessment.

I hold a BSc in Integrative counselling and I am a full member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in line with their ethical framework - BACP membership number 00886637.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
