About me
Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I offer Therapy with the Soul in Mind; provide a safe confidential space for you to speak your truth and be seen for who you are. I use an integrative approach to counselling, where I draw on systemic & trans-personal perspectives and I'm passionate about helping clients through life transitions.
There are times when everyone feel that they just can’t cope, perhaps going through a difficult life event or being affected by things that have happened in the past. At such times it may be helpful to speak to someone trained to listen within a safe and confidential setting. As a therapist, I will help you to explore your difficulties and understand the emotions behind them, as well as support you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself & move forward in the way that is right for you.
My approach: I offer a warm, safe and confidential listening space for you to explore at the right pace and depth for you. Using my knowledge and life experience, I support you to gently discover and awaken your full sacred potential. Together we explore strands of yourself that you have lost along the way and how these can be reclaimed. I help you to get in touch with your core within and find the stillness to hear the calling of your soul.
As we begin to unpack the often painful feelings that hinder your ability to thrive, I support you to get to know yourself and guide you towards you own inner wisdom. Sometimes we get lost in life and I offer you a space where you can begin to honour yourself and those you love, while journeying towards becoming more in touch with your authentic self.
Walk & Talk: In addition to the holding I offer in my sessions, nature can also offer an extended holding space where your fears, anxieties and griefs can begin to be unwrapped.
Often people avoid thinking about climate change / breakdown and mass extinction, not because they don't care, but because it's too overwhelming. With these issues being highlighted regularly in the media and terms such as 'climate change anxiety' and 'eco anxiety' being referred to, it is important to recognise that this is not a condition, but a real response to a dangerous situation. The more reality is distorted or avoided, the more anxiety builds up. This tells us that something is amiss and we don't want to get rid of these feelings, but rather find a way to listen to them. All is welcome here.
I offer Walk & Talk sessions in various landscapes near Frome, in Somerset, where you can explore what you bring to counselling while being held by the surroundings.
Hypnotherapy: I trained as a hypnotherapist after having been inspired for many years by the power of language, visualisation and guided journeys. I work with visualisation, journeying and relaxation techniques in a creative and holistic way, to help you bring greater awareness to your life and discover what's important to you. Together we look into areas you would like to heal and ways to bring changes that are in line with your values and the calling of your soul. I aim to support you to explore yourself on a deeper level, discover and promote aspects that allow you to thrive.
Grief Tending Circles: coming together and regularly paying attention to the sorrows that we carry, can help us to also embody the wild joy that longs to extend from our hearts. It can wake us up to the wonders of being alive and rekindle the fire within. All too often we live in a 'flatland' of numbness and experiencing our shared sorrows can support us to come back to life connection, as honouring our sorrow deepens our capacity for compassion.
Befriending our grief, opening our hearts to our deepest sorrows, helps our hearts to soften and open up to love. Opening and giving space to our inner selves nourishes our souls. As Oscar Wilde said: "Where there is sorrow, there is holy ground." There is no aim to fix or heal your grief, but simply a space for witnessing, holding and sharing.
I offer a free 20 minutes introductory session, which allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, share what issues you bring, clarify confidentiality and ask any questions. This also allows me to assess if Therapy with the Soul in Mind can help you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
