About me

As an integrative psychotherapist, counsellor and certified complex trauma professional, I help people who are looking to overcome a range of distressing emotions and difficult life experiences such as anxiety, stress, depression, feelings of low self-worth, trauma and relationship issues.

I work from a person-centred core, bringing in elements from a range of different approaches where helpful to you and your personal needs and goals. Working at your individual pace, I use my training to help you make sense of your current situation, heal trauma and attachment wounds and move towards a life where you feel safe and confident to thrive.

I understand that not everyone knows what they want from therapy or if they’re ready to start that process. To help you decide, I offer a free 20-minute consultation via Zoom, where we can have a relaxed conversation and you can decide if I am a good match for you.

You can book your consultation from either my personal website or by emailing me directly here. I look forward to meeting you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a first-class Masters degree in Clinical Integrative Psychotherapy, a first-class degree in Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a certified Complex Trauma Professional. I am a member of The British Psychological Society (BPS) and a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I also have a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Training and am a qualified Psychology Lecturer.

I have experience working with stress, anxiety, depression, menopause, living with addiction, low self-worth, parental conflict, relationship difficulties including betrayal and separation. Identity issues, abuse, trauma, domestic violence, work-related issues, emotion regulation, childhood trauma, burnout and general life difficulties.

My vision is to provide you with a professional, evidence-based, modern and relaxed therapeutic experience that helps you to feel relief as soon as possible. Once you feel safe to express and explore deep and sometimes difficult, emotions we can begin to identify and process what is at the root of your current distress with a view of achieving long-lasting change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
