About me
“As well as providing me with perspective, compassion, and validation to help me move through the challenges I faced, she helped me develop as a person. “
Moving towards a more fulfilling and authentic life can be challenging, especially when you feel stuck in your past or unable to change habits and patterns of behaviour. Our work together will explore the beliefs and stories we have created about ourselves over time, that can hold us back.
My intention is not only to offer a non-judgmental and compassionate environment to explore deeper issues, but also to help you develop practical skills to navigate daily life and difficult situations. I encourage my clients to actively engage in the therapeutic process, so that they are able to develop their own personal toolkit.
Maybe you are struggling with depression or anxiety, or have trouble recognising your own needs and setting boundaries. Or perhaps you are dealing with situational challenges, emotional upheaval or physical ailments. My intuitive approach focuses on mind/body connection and creative expression. Your sessions could include a variety of tools and methods such as Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Bodywork, Mindfulness, Dreamwork, Visualisation or Art.
I offer individual short & long-term, open-ended therapy sessions for adults (18yrs+) on a weekly basis. No matter how confused or overwhelmed you may feel, my aim is to support you on your journey to a healthier, happier life.
“Almost immediately, Lisa was that person for me. She was incredibly reactive to what I was going through; quickly able to both draw me and give me the space I needed to feel safe to really open up to another human being for the first time in my life.”

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
The first step is to send me a message. We'll then arrange a free 20-min phone or video call. During this we'll get acquainted, I'll hear what brings you to therapy, and you can ask me any questions you might have. If at the end of this session you have a feeling we are a good fit and I can support you with your needs then we can agree to a regular, weekly meeting. I usually suggest to start with a 6 week trial so you can get a feel for how it is to work together.
