About me

As a qualified counsellor certified to work online, I offer counselling to adults via Zoom, giving you the freedom to speak to me from a place that you feel safe and comfortable.

I have experience of working with clients of all adult age groups, from young adults aged 18 to those aged 60 plus, with different reasons for seeking counselling, including anxiety, depression, low self esteem, relationship/family issues and many others.

I offer a safe and confidential space for you to talk freely whether you have a specific issue to address, or you would like to make sense of why things do not feel right for you. Having this space to talk and explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement gives you a safe environment to start working alongside me towards a positive outcome.

When working alongside you, your well-being is very important to me and our work together will always be at your own pace ensuring that you feel safe to explore your feelings, emotions and thoughts in your own time, without being rushed.

I understand that everybody is unique and with this in mind my aim is that we always work together in a way that is best suited to your needs.

Each Zoom session is 50 minutes long. I offer both short term and open ended counselling with regular reviews of the work we do to ensure we are working in the best way possible for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor with experience of working within an agency and in private practice alongside clients with a wide range of reasons for seeking counselling.

My approach to counselling is integrative, meaning that my training and experience allows me to be flexible in my practice, drawing on a variety of methods to best suit each individual's needs.

As an experienced counsellor certified to work online, I have the knowledge, understanding and skills to provide a safe and confidential space for my clients whilst working remotely.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
