About me

Thank you for viewing my profile. I am a fully qualified and insured integrative counsellor. The basis of my practice is that each person is unique and the expert of their own lived experience. In my opinion, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy so will work collaboratively with you to identify your preferences and goals, drawing on different theories and methods that I believe to be most helpful for you. I take a strengths-based approach which means identifying and building on your existing skills and resourcefulness to bring about change.

I will seek to co-create a respectful therapeutic relationship with you that provides the safety you need to explore the experiences that brought you to counselling. These might include (but are not limited to) anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, isolation, depression, problems at work, addiction, trauma, grief, coping with change, feeling stuck or relationship difficulties. I am experienced in working with those who are Autistic and/or ADHD and work in a neuro-affirming way.

During our sessions, you can expect empathy and authenticity from me. Together, we will explore how you make meaning through becoming more aware of your thoughts, feelings, values, relationships and behaviours. We can do this verbally and/or through creative methods (e.g., drawing, photography, writing etc.) if this would be helpful for you. My hope is for you to feel empowered to make personal and practical changes which enhance your quality of life and wellbeing.
