About me

I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have over 15 years experience working within the National Health Service and private practice and i now work exclusively in private practice. I work across the lifespan seeing clients of all ages who need support for different reasons. 

I work with children, young people, and adults experiencing a range of difficulties including, challenging behaviour, depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, bipolar disorder, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, stress and self-esteem.

I work using an integrative style, drawing multiple treatment models including CBT, ACT, CFT, DBT, and Trauma Focused CBT.

I also have expertise in diagnostic assessments for Autism and ADHD, which are NICE compliant.

At Blume Psychology, Laura offers assessment and treatment for the purposes of understanding difficulties and developing a treatment plan.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
