About me

Do you ever feel like you have lost your way? Whether that be feeling like you are trapped in a dense fog, have fallen into a huge hole, or have wandered out too far and are now out of your depth.

It can sometimes feel like you are all alone, that no one understands how you feel and what you are going through. It can be daunting to think that you have to find your way back by yourself, sometimes it can even feel impossible.

But you don't have to do it alone. Often people think a counsellors job is to pull you out of the fog, to lift you out of the hole, to drag you back to steady ground but it isn't. I will find you in that fog, crawl down into that hole, walk out to where you feel unsafe and I will be there with you. And when you feel ready we will work together to find our way through the fog, to climb out of that hole, and to make our way back to more steady ground.

I'm not here to save you from what you are going through. I'm here to be with you, to offer you support, and to offer you comfort as you find your way through.

My aim is to work alongside you in the hope of getting you to a place where life and its problems feel more manageable.

Life should be about more than just surviving. Life should be about thriving.

What do I offer?

  • A relaxed environment to explore the topics you choose to bring.
  • Respect, understanding and patience.
  • A space to speak openly and freely.
  • Years of experience working with a variety of topics and issues.

What will I do?

  • Work alongside you to help further your understanding of what you are feeling and going through.

Who do I work with?

  • Anyone and everyone over the age of 17.
  • Ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender, cultural background aren't things that influence who I work with.

How does this work?

  • If you would like to work with me send an enquiry which I will respond to usually within 24hours.
  • I will offer a free 15-20minute phone call where we can talk through what has brought you here and I can answer any questions that you may have.
  • From there you can decide if you would like to work with me and we can get your first full session booked in.
  • Sessions take place via phone call or video call.

How long are sessions and how much do they cost?

  • Sessions are 50minutes.
  • The amount of sessions and how frequently you have them is completely up to you.
  • Sessions cost £40 - the fee can be reduced depending on circumstances just enquire.

What do I know?

  • That starting counselling can be intimidating.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
