About me

Everyone deserves to feel at their best and to receive support when they require it, without shame. I believe that no one's circumstances are less worthy than others. If you are seeking to thrive, understand and explore your own circumstances better, to regain a sense of energy, hope, wellbeing and vitality, (whether working through distress such as anxiety or depression, challenging personal events, setbacks within relationships, grief, loss, endings, transitions and change), I am here to support your intentions towards health, change, meaning-making and growth. We all need a bit of help sometimes, without judgement.

Our emotional health struggles show up through all sorts of bodily “symptoms”, be it low mood, sexual difficulties, anxious feelings, sleep problems etc, which can affect how we relate to others and how we can treat ourselves (for instance, at times we might isolate ourselves, or feel guilt and shame). I believe it is the safe, trusting relationship we build together that unlocks the change, healthier coping skills and peace of mind we are seeking. I work in a trauma-informed way, explaining how our stress symptoms show up in our bodies, inviting us to consider how our development and history might be affecting how well we are coping in the here-and-now. Transactional Analysis is a type of psychology that helps us explore how our experiences have shaped us into the person we have become.

In addition, I hold an undergraduate honours degree in Child Development (BA Hons), a Foundation degree in Early Years (FdA EYPP), a Masters degree in the field of Social Work (MSW), Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Social Work Practice (PG CertASW), and a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET).
