About me

Are you struggling with negative thoughts, fears and emotions? Do you have anxiety, low self-esteem, feelings of guilt or shame and want help to move past it?

As an integrative counsellor I am versatile in my approach and offer clients a reliable, supportive and purposeful working relationship. I will empathetically listen to you, to understand your frame of reference in the world, so that I am able to support you and tailor therapy around your goals.

Therapy is an explorative space for you to feel comfortable and talk about the things that are difficult to share with family or friends. It is a collaborative working relationship that when built on trust, can enable great healing and clarity to take place.

During therapy, we can work on moving past the pain, understanding what is happening for you and work on feeling better about yourself. Self-exploration in a non-judgemental space can accelerate self-awareness, which is the key to better understanding and accepting of yourself, which in turn can galvanise positive change.

I work using an integrative approach, so depending on your goal for therapy we can explore the past to better understand the present or we can work with a specific anxiety or issue.

Counselling is a confidential, open and honest relationship, it is important to feel safe and be able to express yourself freely, without judgement or criticism. This is my philosophy and way of working with clients. I work as a conscientious, reflective and nurturing counsellor.

Embarking on therapy can feel scary, so if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call me or email me for a consultation and I can answer any questions or alleviate any concerns you may have.

I have an all-inclusive practice.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
