About me
Hello, my name is Julie and I am an experienced Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in Staffordshire, UK. I have successfully helped clients navigate a wide range of complex issues including Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, Grief, Trauma, Family Conflict, Work Related Issues, Life Worries, and Debt.
My personal journey with Depression, Benzodiazepine and Alcohol Addiction, Debt, and receiving vital support from those around me, a local mental health charity, and my counsellor, has deeply influenced my decision to become a therapist. It was through my own struggles and the invaluable guidance and assistance I received that I found a calling to help others on their mental health journey. This personal experience fuels my passion for providing empathetic and effective support to my clients in their own healing process.
I began my counselling studies in 2017 and dedicated my time to volunteering for a local mental health charity, assisting clients in need. In mid-2020, I had the opportunity to support individuals through loss and bereavement at a prestigious local cancer hospice, where I gained valuable insights into the intricacies of family dynamics during times of grief. From 2022 to 2023 I worked part-time at a charity, using my skills to assist clients facing various challenges, including those struggling with suicidal ideation.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure that I can provide the best possible support to my clients. I offer a compassionate and client-centred approach, tailored to each individual's unique needs and experiences. If you are looking for a therapist who can understand and support you through difficult times, I am here to help.
Please feel free to reach out to me to learn more about how I can assist you on your journey to better mental health and well-being.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
