Julie Rowland, Reg MBACP (Accred), MNCS (Acc).
Depression and anxiety can affect any one of us because life is full of inevitable losses, sadness and difficulty. And sometimes you will need help. Counselling is an opportunity to talk through matters which worry or concern you, in a calm and confidential space.
I have an open, honest and compassionate approach to my work, and will enable you to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, in a safe non-judgmental environment. Often, understanding why we react the way we do can be the key to changing how we think and respond to others.
I am experienced in working with many issues; for example anxiety, addictions, abuse, anger management, bereavement, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, sexuality, low self-confidence, stress, and anything else which may be troubling you. I work with adults and young people.
I provide a personal, fully confidential service in a relaxed atmosphere, and have my private counselling and supervision practice in SA73 (between Haverfordwest and Milford Haven). I have also worked in an NHS setting, providing counselling for patients in a large GP’s practice, and as a counsellor for clients who are recovering from alcohol and substance misuse, referred by local agencies. I am an external counsellor for Dyfed Powys Police, the Police Firearms Officers Association, and Pembrokeshire County Council.
Our first meeting will not commit you to further sessions unless you feel it is right for you. Working together will enable you to develop your own resilience, promoting change and movement towards the resolution of personal difficulties and problems.
