About me

I am an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist and full clinical member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).  Transpersonal psychotherapy looks across our entire lifespan. What is it like to be us right now; how did we come to be this way; and what do we hope for, fear or dream of for our future? But 'trans' also means 'beyond'. This can be understood spiritually as being about the meaning or purpose of our lives, or simply as an enquiry into who we are and what we want, beyond all the things we are told to be and want.

The integrative part means that I have also studied psychodynamic, humanistic and existential psychotherapies, as well as CBT and Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), and can blend these with transpersonal work in whatever way feels right for you. I generally work long-term with sessions once a week, at CCPE in Little Venice. While good psychotherapy can take place remotely, it is inevitably a lesser experience than being two embodied souls in a room. It is for this reason that I no longer offer sessions online.

If you feel that you might like to work with me, please call or email and we can arrange an introductory session.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified as a psychotherapist in 2022, graduating with a Postgraduate Diploma from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE), after five years of training and 750 client hours. Before this, I completed a Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regents University, an MA in Creative Writing at Birkbeck and a BA in Experimental Psychology at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.

I have worked with a wide range of psychological, emotional and spiritual concerns, including anxiety, depression, compulsions, bereavement, stress, midlife crisis, parenting issues, suicidal ideation, ancestral trauma, sexual dysfunction, sexual abuse and unexplained physical symptoms.  I am also trained in collaborative dreamwork. My aim is not to provide you with answers but to work with your creative and intuitive self to access the deep knowing, and innate capacity for joy and self-healing, that yearns to be contacted within us all.

Before becoming a psychotherapist I held research positions in neuroscience and public health, worked in reference-book publishing and spent ten years as a professional rowing coach.

I welcome clients of any or no faith, gender, sexual orientation or psychiatric diagnosis. I am a full clinical member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and abide by their code of ethics.
