About me

I offer a creative approach to psychotherapy, in-person in central Glasgow. Talking is always an option, and there are always creative resources available for use.

When working creatively, there is absolutely no need for any creative or artistic skill, or experience. The focus is on the process - your experience of creating, and any meaning there may be. Simply put, creative approaches can help express what is hard to put into words.

My training was rooted in both person-centred and psychodynamic therapies. In practice, this means that I'll help facilitate your process in the direction and at a pace that works for you. I'll also be bringing an understanding of how past relationships impact present day relationships, including the therapeutic one. Other theories/approaches that influence my work include; the biology of relationships and emotions, and, how identities and society's systems affect us. I'll relate to you and your process with warmth, realness, empathy, curiosity and inclusivity.

Experiences I have worked with include; anxiety, neglect, abuse, trauma, bereavement, care-experience, adoption, and transitions. I have worked with people with neurodivergence (in therapy) and other disabilities (in community and mental health settings).

If you're interested in working together, or have any questions, please do get in touch. For more info on my background and the way I work, please read on or visit my website.

The venue is very central and close to multiple public transport options. Photos below.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as a Play Therapist and have adapted my practice to work with adults. Prior to setting up CoCreate I worked in the third sector with children, young people and their parents/carers. I also have a background in mindfulness facilitation with all ages, and mental health support work with adults. Alongside this part-time practice, I work as a community engagement officer for a wellbeing centre. I also volunteer for an equalities group of a trans-inclusive women's organisation.
