About me

Thank you for looking at my profile.

I am a person centred counsellor and offer therapeutic counselling from my practice Inside Out Therapy. I am registered with the National Counselling Society and this means I adhere to their ethics and guidelines in order to offer you the best level of service.

I offer face to face sessions in Highcliffe, walk and talk, online and telephone counselling services.

We can all feel overwhelmed at times. Sometimes it’s hard to see how our situation can improve and we continue to repeat patterns that no longer help us.

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, health or family problems, even taking the first step and talking about it can be an enormous help and can begin to ease your mind.

Exploring your past can help you become aware of how it can impact the present and how you may better approach life in the future.

I use a combination of approaches to make sense of what you bring and tailor those approaches to your personal needs.

I aim to offer a holistic listening, supportive and collaborative relationship to incorporate your mental and emotional health in a safe, calm, nurturing and confidential environment, allowing you to talk through any difficulties or issues to identify ways in which you can improve or make changes. It starts with you.....from the inside out.

Talking through things can help you feel understood and have your feelings validated. I provide a non judgmental and collaborative space, allowing you the time to process thoughts and feelings away from friends and family.

Attending counselling can be a daunting process, so finding the right counsellor whom you feel safe with, is paramount.

It is my belief, that the therapeutic relationship, between client and counsellor is the most important contributor in this process.

If you would like a free/no obligation 20 minute phone call in order to ask any questions or connect before committing, please get in touch to arrange a convenient time in order for us to do this. If you then decide that we can work together I will offer an initial session for a reduced rate of £25 to carry out an assessment and plan next steps.

Further information

Do you need to talk about what is going on for you without judgement or been given advice.  A place to feel safe and to explore and gain a better understanding of what is causing distress or overwhelm.  Maybe it's about finding out more and questioning why you feel or behave a certain way.  We all deserve a chance to be really heard,  this is where counselling can help. I can offer you a safe and supportive space to explore difficult feelings and events.

There are many reasons why someone may reach out for support in the form of counselling. I understand that it can be a really difficult decision choosing a counsellor. This is why I offer an introductory 20 minute phone call in order to answer any questions and allow you to see if we can work together.  This initial appointment can be a chance to explore what has brought you to look for counselling and talk about how it may be able to help. I always hold in mind that everyone is different and so their needs from counselling will be unique.  I find it a privilege to be alongside my clients while they embark on this new chapter of their life.
