About me

People seek counselling for many different reasons. I am a Multi-model Integrated Therapist based in Bartley Green, South Birmingham. I am able to tailor therapy for my clients and their needs. I have a strong duty of care to my clients and a genuine passion towards commitment in therapy.

I started my career over a decade ago in the public sector, dealing with people from all walks of life, often with people who find themselves in challenging situations. In recent years, I have expanded my career, through the training company Chrysalis, into talking therapies.

My work ethos is that therapy needs to be tailor made to fit clients, to help them get the results and changes they need for a better way of lifestyle and being, with those results being maintainable in the long run, by clients and I feel this is where integrated therapies are an advantage, with research supporting this.

Many of us carry difficult painful experiences in life which stay with us beneath the surface. I can help release these experiences in a gentle way, which offers my clients a more fulfilling future based on personal growth.

Models that I use include Psychodynamic Counselling, Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, REBT, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Hypnotherapy. Using these models, I have experience treating many presenting issues such as depression, stress, anxiety, abuse, addiction, phobias, anger management, self-defeating behaviours, bereavement and loss, and self development.

As a therapist, I am constantly in development of my work, keeping abreast of the latest research from the best resources out there and techniques for our fast-paced environment.
