About me

There are many reasons why people choose to come to therapy. Whatever the difficulties you are facing it can be helpful to talk to someone outside of your daily life. I believe passionately that people have the ability to grow and change, no matter how difficult their situation may seem.

I am an integrative therapist which means that I can use different therapeutic approaches to tailor the therapy to suit your individual needs.

You may be considering therapy for current or past experiences, to change old patterns or know that life just does not feel right. I have worked with people with many different issues including dyslexia, depression, anxiety, long-term illness, stress, trauma, relationship conflict and life changes such as, the menopause or redundancy. The challenges we face from past or current life events can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, isolation, fear or low self worth.

I have a Certificate in Embodied practice which means I work with the mind and body, creating awareness of mind/body connection and the impact of any disconnection can have on our mental and physical health. This might be breath work, connecting the nature or moving. Different ways to become aware of our bodies responses.

The first step is an initial session where we can explore what you are wanting from therapy and whether we both feel that what I can offer is relevant at this time for you. We may then agree to work for a short period of time or a longer period of time to explore issues in depth.

Location

The therapy takes place in an empathetic, safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment. This either online of face to face.

I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for an agreed period of time. This is either in Headington or East Oxford.

Fee
The sessions are for 50 minutes and cost £65

Telephone or email me in strictest confidence to arrange the first session.

Training, qualifications & experience

Previously, I provided therapy in various organisations other than private practice, including a Further Education Collage and The Listening Centre based in Blackbird Leys. I've also worked as a counsellor for TalkingSpace plus within the NHS and Victims First managed by Thames Valley Police. These roles have led to working with adolescents, adults and older people. The therapy covered many different issues including bereavement, mental health issues, depression, anxiety, long-term illness, stress, trauma, relationship issues and many more. I’m also able to draw on my extensive experience of working in healthcare.
