About me

At times we all need a safe place to share what is going on in our hearts and mind. Although we may have friends and family around us who genuinely care, the thought of telling them exactly how we are feeling can be scary and overwhelming so instead, we put on a brave face and choose to say nothing.
On the other hand, It might be that you feel so alone and disconnected with no one to hear what’s going on. If this is you, it would be my honour to offer you that space to speak your story.
To have a place where you can be real and honest, to voice your true thoughts and feelings can be invaluable, transformative and freeing. I know this was hugely beneficial for myself when facing my own challenging times. I learnt that keeping feelings locked inside and hiding parts of myself from the world became too heavy a burden
I work with a broad spectrum of disorders and would be open for us to have a free 20 minute telephone consultation where you can chat and ask questions to help you decide whether proceeding with me would be helpful for you.
So whatever it may be, relationship difficulties, workplace stress, bereavement, anxiety or a life changing diagnosis, I am here for you to talk things through. I offer a warm and non-judgemental space to help you safely explore and discover your authentic self. Sessions are carried out face-to-face in my own home meaning I have no room hire overheads which allows me to offer sessions for £30 which is hopefully a help during this cost of living crisis.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling who has been practising for a number of years.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
