About me

Have you ever felt like you're holding everything together on the outside, while quietly struggling on the inside?

Perhaps you're constantly overthinking, struggling with relationships, questioning your self-worth, or simply feeling overwhelmed. You might not even know exactly what's wrong, just that something doesn't feel quite right.

I'm an integrative counsellor and founder of Aurali Counselling, an independent private practice offering online and telephone therapy for adults and young people aged 16 and over.

At Aurali, I provide a warm, calm and supportive space where you can talk openly, without judgement or pressure. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can explore things together, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My approach combines person-centred, psychodynamic and holistic principles, incorporating elements of CBT where helpful. Together, we can explore your current difficulties, understand patterns that may stem from earlier experiences, and develop greater self-awareness and confidence.

I believe therapy should feel like a genuine conversation. Alongside compassionate listening, I offer thoughtful reflection, different perspectives and gentle challenge when appropriate. My aim isn't simply to help you manage how you're feeling today, but to support you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Taking the First Step -

Starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly if you're used to managing everything on your own. I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation where we can discuss what you're looking for and whether working together feels right.

You don't have to carry everything alone. You're welcome here.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor (2020), Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and founder of Aurali Counselling, my independent private practice offering online and telephone therapy.

My professional experience spans educational, charitable and private practice settings, including working with Headstrong Counselling and as a School Counsellor at Roehampton Gate School, where I supported children and young people with autism (ASD), ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties. These experiences have strengthened my ability to work sensitively with diverse emotional needs, communication styles and individual circumstances.

My therapeutic approach draws on person-centred, psychodynamic and holistic principles, incorporating cognitive behavioural techniques where appropriate. I offer a warm, collaborative space that encourages self-exploration, emotional understanding and meaningful personal growth.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am studying towards a BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling at The Open University, continuing to develop my knowledge of psychological theory and human behaviour. I also undertake regular clinical supervision and practise in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Getting Started with Aurali

Finding the right counsellor is an important decision, and I believe feeling comfortable with your therapist is an essential part of the process.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation, giving us an opportunity to briefly discuss what you're looking for, answer any questions and explore whether working together feels right.

Sessions are available online or by telephone, offering flexibility and the comfort of accessing therapy from your own private space.

I offer both short-term and open-ended counselling, depending on your individual needs. There is no expectation to arrive knowing exactly what you want to explore; we can discover that together.

Taking the first step doesn't mean having all the answers. Sometimes, it simply means being ready to talk.
