About me

Hello! I’m Iolanda.

If you have you been feeling lost, uncertain or overwhelmed, I am here to help.

I am an integrative, psychotherapeutic counsellor and I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem and issues in their relationships.

You may be looking for support with setting boundaries, forming and maintaining meaningful relationships or with improving the way you think and feel about yourself. Or perhaps you feel at a loss, like something isn’t working and you just don’t know why.

I have supported clients from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. My approach is warm and informal and I am very passionate about my work. I help my clients find their identity, their boundaries and their voice.

Counselling doesn’t change the world around you but it can change the way you experience what happens to you and within yourself. I will work with you to help you understand yourself, your needs and the way you present in relationships. The more awareness you develop, the more tools you will have to be more deliberate in your behaviour and choices.

Clients who have had counselling with me have come to the point where they feel able to understand themselves better and feel confident determining how to move forward.

If you're going through difficult changes, feeling anxious or stuck, or you're asking yourself what you really need and want, then I would welcome you to get in touch with me.

You can call me on 07521 431173 or send an email to ask any questions or book a session. I offer a free 15 minute consultation over the phone or in a video call, you can use this link to schedule the call back at a convenient time for you.

I look forward to meeting you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
