About me
I am a qualified integrative therapist that has trained extensively in a plethora of therapeutic modalities. Clients have found the ability to incorporate various counselling modalities to be very effective as it enables me to provide the right level of support. I can provide short-term counselling, or longer-term psychotherapy if more appropriate.
Overall, my focus is on helping individuals achieve a more balanced and fulfilled life; helping couples improve their relationship with their loved ones and assisting professionals and entrepreneurs in their development and finding a better sense of motivation in the workplace and direction in their personal lives.
Moreover, I am experienced in dealing with many mental health related challenges and issues and work with all individuals regardless of their gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs and especially with those that identify as LGBTQ+.
I feel very passionate about helping you find your way in life and view this process as a journey of self-discovery and one that will allow you to make the right choices about the things that matter the most to you. Training, qualifications & experience
I started my counselling training at the Metanoia Institute in London before embarking on an Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling Doctorate Programme at NSPC/Middlesex University.
More recently, I have completed my studies at the University of East London (UEL) on their leading-edge Integrative Counselling and Coaching postgraduate programme and am continuing to work as part of the Executive of the Coaching division of the BACP.
As your therapist, I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and I abide by their Ethical framework. Additionally, I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) to ensure that my practice complies to the highest standards of data protection and client confidentiality and I hold an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service Certificate (DBS).
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
