About me

I am an experienced therapist, an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in private practice sessions online, via telephone, or in face-to-face sessions. I also work as a counsellor within the NHS.

I offer confidential, professional counselling in an informal, relaxed environment for short or long-term basis clients.

I adhere to the BACP’s Code of Practice and Ethical Framework.

My Counselling Approach

I will provide a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk about your issues and concerns.

Within a quality therapeutic relationship, my philosophy and practice are client-centered. It means that I provide appropriate care in a safe and confidential environment. I will work with you to formulate a unique approach that is tailored to your specific situation.

I believe each person is the expert of oneself and has excellent abilities for their own solutions. Still, sometimes we may need support to develop a better understanding of themselves and others, finding ways to cope, heal, and move forward.

I work with a range of emotional and psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship problems, abuse as a child or adult, postnatal depression, OCD, perfectionism, workplace problems and stress, anger, shame, guilt, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, and social anxieties.

I also have a particular interest in the role of transitions in life, e.g. infertility, pregnancy, becoming a new parent, loss of a loved one, sudden job loss, etc. I also focus on long term health conditions (such as chronic fatigue syndrome) and workplace stress.

You may wonder if it is even possible to thrive during your most challenging time -we can work together to find a way forward.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
