Helen Brady UKCP accredited Counsellor and Therapist
Hi, my name is Helen. I offer both short term and long term support. To give you a brief outline I am qualified and experienced to offer support in most areas with the following difficulties being my particular interest:
Loss, bereavement, anxiety, childhood trauma, domestic abuse and domestic violence (men and women), perinatal mental health, depression, sadness, stresses from family life including caring roles.
My training covered different modalities which means I can offer you a flexible way of working to find what may fit for you. This includes working creatively and I have recently started to offer walk and talk therapy which can bring a whole new dynamic to your experience.
The most important thing in any type of counselling or therapy is that you feel a safe connection with your therapist. I warmly invite you to contact me in whichever way feels most comfortable, let’s talk together and see if the way I work creates the safe space you need to support you through your current difficulty.
I have experience of working within a Domestic Violence Team for the Local Authority, many years of experience of empowering families to get the best support they could for their child in education. I currently work for Let’s Talk (Iaptus) and I welcome enquiries to my private practice from EAP’s. I am passionate about empowering/educating others and I offer an Introduction to therapeutic skills to educational staff, contact me for further details if this is of interest to you.
To reassure you, I abide by the code of ethics of UKCP, DBS checked and hold indemnity insurance. I currently have procedures in place to ensure I comply with the Government's guidance for being Covid Secure.
We are in strange times right now, I am still here to support you. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we all deserve support, talk to me about the concessions I am able to offer during this difficult time.
