About me

Hi, I'm Hatel, a Counselling Psychologist with 10+ years of experience working in the NHS. I provide evidence-based therapy for adults, creating a supportive, confidential, and professional environment to help you navigate life's challenges.

My Approach:

I view therapy as a collaborative process that is uniquely tailored to each individual. I recognise that everyone perceives the world and their experiences in their own distinct way. In our work together, I aim to empower you to take control and make meaningful changes that bring you closer to achieving your goals. I offer a warm, supportive, and welcoming environment, drawing on a variety of therapeutic models to suit your individual needs.

Currently, I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, offering both face-to-face and online sessions for your convenience.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. My integrative approach combines techniques from multiple models to ensure that therapy is fully aligned with your personal needs.

How Therapy Works:

Our work together will begin with an initial assessment, where we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and identify your goals. This session will also provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. From there, I will offer recommendations for how we can best move forward and tailor our sessions to support your progress effectively.

Ongoing sessions: These last 50 minutes and my aim would be to work collaboratively, and to think with you how you can use strategies and tools outside of our sessions.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
