I am a professional and friendly therapist who is passionate about helping clients find solutions to their problems, enabling them to move forward with their lives.
I am very experienced and highly qualified and I work with clients in a welcoming and supportive environment, integrating a range of therapeutic approaches to maximise change.
My Masters Degree in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and experience in this field supports my approach of working dynamically with clients to achieve results. In addition, my experience and qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) also enable me to work with clients to achieve powerful change.
Background/Experience
I have over 20 years experience of helping clients to resolve a wide range of issues including stress, depression, anxiety, anger, trauma and relationship issues. I also assist clients with coping strategies, coming to terms with events in their lives and challenging negative unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Please see below for a full range of the issues that I can help with.
I am a Senior Accredited and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person Centred and Psychodynamic approaches.
In addition, I utilise Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and teach Mindfulness Meditation.
I work with individuals, couples, employers, Employee Assistance Programs (EAPS) and insurance companies and provide both short and long term therapy to clients, according to their needs.
I also provide Clinical Supervision to counsellors to help support and develop their work with clients.
Prior to becoming a therapist I worked in senior Human Resources Management roles in the private sector.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
