About me

We all face hardships and difficulties at points in our lives and it’s not easy owning that we can’t always face this alone, but seeking therapy is a brave step and may be the first needed to initiate change. I believe that therapy can be a life-changing experience to enhance your self-awareness and self-understanding, leading to personal growth and development.

If you currently feel like you’re at a stage where you would like to get help and support, I am here to explore this with you. Are you feeling like you’re behaving in ways that you don’t understand or you can’t stop overthinking? Are experiences from the past stopping you from moving forward? Do you struggle with low self-esteem, low self-worth or a lack of confidence?

What I can help with:

I offer a confidential, comfortable and compassionate space to listen to, explore and understand your concerns on a deeper and psychological level. Therapy is a collaborative journey and I value trust and honesty to be at the heart of the therapeutic relationship.

I am an integratively trained therapist drawing on numerous approaches to psychotherapy and will tailor this to suit your needs. I believe in seeing each individual as a whole person and working from a holistic standpoint incorporating the body, feelings, mind and spirit – aiming to encourage you to develop yourself, your relationship to others and the external world.

These can include looking at past behaviours and relationships and how these affect you today or exploring philosophically the meaning you're giving to your current life and how you may wish to develop this. I can help you to explore issues that are bothering you through a different perspective and to help you gain further insight and understanding of yourself. Throughout our lives, we are constantly evolving and sometimes we need to slow down and explore these in a deeper and more meaningful way so that we can then take steps forward.

I have extensive experience working within GP practices, NHS services and specifically with pregnancy-related issues all over London - which has enabled me to meet people from all walks of life! I have worked with depression, anxiety, loss and bereavement, relationship issues, pregnancy-related issues (pregnancy loss, birth trauma and infertility to name a few), cultural issues and long-term health conditions (such as cardiac, respiratory and diabetes).

I offer individual in person or online therapy as well as small support groups specifically for pregnancy loss and fertility related concerns - if you would like to find out more about these please visit https://www.fertilitysupportlondon.com or feel free to get in touch!

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
