About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist working in Newcastle upon Tyne. I offer assessment and therapy for a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. I have a specialist experience of working with people who are struggling emotionally as a consequence of physical health and/ or traumatic injury. I have many years of experience in helping people with adjustment, trauma, anxiety and depression as well as overcoming traumatic experiences of injury or healthcare. I believe that everyone has the potential to live a life that they enjoy.
It is important to find the right type of therapy for you. The main therapeutic techniques I use are: Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and EMDR. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques where this is helpful. I will tailor therapy to meet your needs and work collaboratively with you throughout the process.
Starting therapy can be daunting and so I will strive to make it as manageable as possible through offering a compassionate and personalised approach to help you meet your goals. Please get in touch if you have any questions or think that I might be the right fit for you.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
