Talking Therapy (online and in person)

Talking therapies, involve discussing emotional and psychological issues. This process aims to help individuals understand their feelings, thoughts, and behaviours, and to develop coping strategies for dealing with life's challenges. Taking therapy can address a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, and trauma. By providing a safe and supportive environment, talking therapies enable individuals to explore their concerns, gain insight, and work towards personal growth and healing.

Healing Trauma at the Clay Field

Clay Field Therapy is a form of expressive arts therapy that involves the use of clay as a medium for emotional and psychological exploration and healing. It is rooted in the principles of art therapy and focuses on the tactile and sensory experience of working with clay. During a session, clients engage in shaping and manipulating a field of clay with their hands, allowing them to express feelings and experiences that may be difficult to articulate verbally.

The process of working with clay can help individuals access deeper emotional states, release pent-up emotions, and gain insights into their inner world. It is particularly effective for those who have experienced trauma, as the physical act of moulding clay can be grounding and provide a sense of control and safety. Clay field therapy  can be beneficial for addressing a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression and trauma.

Connecting With Nature for Healing and Wellbeing

Experiential nature therapy is a therapeutic approach that involves immersive,  hands-on activities in natural environments to promote mental and physical well-being. This form of therapy leverages the healing properties of nature. The goal is to foster a deeper connection with the natural world, which can help reduce stress, enhance mood, improve cognitive function, and boost overall health. By experiencing nature directly, client gain a sense of peace and mindfulness, aiding in the treatment of various psychological conditions.

These sessions can also be provided as an inspiring Team Away Day

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
