About me

The Therapy Available

I provide holistic, eclectic and client lead therapy. Together we will design a unique fluid blend of therapies, responsive to your needs and availability.

I specialise in Experiential Nature Therapy.  This is a process in which nature works alongside us as a co therapist. The challenges, changes, awe and wonder that natural surroundings evoke provide rich opportunities for working with metaphor and symbolism.  This allows us to understanding of situations to a deeper level and helps us find resolution. I provide opportunity for somatic therapy. We feel our experiences within our whole bodies. Taking time to explore physical sensations is often an important part of the process of releasing and understanding issues that are causing us distress. We may also choose to work with materials such as paint or clay.

I provide a range of flexible times and days, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends. I also aim to provide a range of location options, these include:

•           Therapy Room based

•           Natural Space

•           Online

•           Telephone

(Other methods can be negotiated to suit you)

I understand that client’s needs can change from session to session. The therapeutic process is led by you, as you are the most knowledgeable person in the space we create together. Some sessions you may wish to be online, others outdoors and some indoors, I will follow your needs.

I specialise in supporting life transitions, as these cover so many aspects of our lives. They can be a challenging space which may feel both scary and exciting as situations change around us and we lose our footing.  I am here to support you as you prepare to step over the threshold into a new stage of life, whatever that may be.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
