About me

Hi there and welcome - I’m Elaine. Please take a look below at how we can work together. (Also take a look at my brief video).

  •  Are you feeling overwhelmed with life, unable to keep up?
  • Are you struggling with self-doubt and questioning ‘Am I good enough’?
  • Are you are carrying around issues from the past which may be affecting your happiness today?
  • Does your head feel like a ball of wool all knotted and mixed up leading to feeling of anxiety or depression?
  • Do you need to just share and offload problems to move on with your life?
  • Or are you struggling with menopausal symptoms and need to understand what’s happening to your body?

How can I help you?

  • Sharing and exploring experiences together is key to finding a way forward. I’ll listen in our confidential space and without any judgement to what’s on your mind. Together we will look for a way of helping you to understand the barriers to your happiness.
  •  I will provide a friendly, caring space. This will develop our working relationship and build your confidence exploring issues to find a way forward.
  • No problem is too big or small and I won’t ask you to talk about things you don’t want to or aren’t ready to.
  • Trained in menopause wellness, I can help you discuss menopausal symptoms, to track and understand what is happening to your body and plan a way forward to alleviate these symptoms.
  • Also, be assured that I am a qualified therapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Well, the fact that you’re reading this shows you want things to change – That’s the first step…

Second step - Please get in touch via email. I’ll message you back to organise a 15/20 minute chat on the phone or online, so we can meet each other, you can ask me any questions and I can explain how I work.

I will return emails within 24 hours and in most cases I can see you within a week face to face or online. I look forward to hearing from you!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
