About me
DUE TO CURRENT GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES ALL SESSIONS WILL BE VIA TELEPHONE OR ONLINE. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
As someone who has always cared deeply about the personal struggles of individuals in distress , I'm humbled by the hidden strengths and resilience of those dealing with distress/crisis. My respect for those qualities is what drives me to use proven counselling methods in a way that supports my clients own steps towards what they define as personal empowerment and a better life. My role is to help you understand yourself better and find other ways to cope or resolve problems. My professional and personal qualities are sincere, keen, attentive, diligent, calm and adaptable.
Other relevant experience as an advocate working for children and young people representing their views, wishes and feelings, helping them navigate children services, worked in education as an experienced welfare and well-being officer, family support worker within the community, youth engagement programme worker and child playgroup worker.
I am fully qualified and insured counsellor and have experience in working alongside charities which include New Pathways (Sexual assault), Eye to Eye (school counselling) and 2 Wish Upon a Star (Bereavement Counselling) and I attend regular supervision. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Registration No.834510 and fully Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
