Supervision details

Supervision Details 
I offer supervision to a different number of roles which include trainee counsellors, newly qualified/qualified counsellors, teachers, youth worker, charity workers and other types of professional. I provide a supportive and encouraging environment to consider their work. My own therapeutic approach is person-centred, and I also draw on mindfulness and compassion focused approaches. 
£37.50 for 45 mins (Option for trainee counsellors, every two weeks – BACP guidance) 
£55.00 for 1 hr 
£75.00 for 1.5hrs 


Trainee Counsellors 
During your training you will find with me, a supportive working environment to provide you with what you need whist holding your own client work. I will provide you with an authentic, ethical, learning space to grow, build your confidence and help develop your learnt skills whist putting them into practice. 


Newly Qualified Counsellors

If you are a newly qualified therapist, I can support you in preparing for private practice or working with an organisation, with all the elements needed to create a professional and ethical environment for your clients.  I will also provide you with tools and understanding to support you in maximising learning, business potential and a future pathway to building your hours and experience. 


Experienced Therapists 
I work with experienced therapists aligning with their personal goals. My aim is to create an alliance within a motivational and creative space - to further support growth and learning; awareness; maintaining ethics and good practice. I hope you would find supervision with me both enjoyable and motivating. 


Organisations 
During the time that you run and support your team and service users, I can support you, supporting them. This can be done through group work or in a one-to-one setting. Organisation I support are charity’s, SME, youth settings, supporting accommodation. This can help develop a unique perspective within your organisation and to understand their own role and relationships dynamics.  


Experience 
I am a fully trained supervisor - my background being person-centred but have extended to the following additional specialisms in:  
1.    Safeguarding with ‘children looked after’, children protection, trauma, abuse, and vulnerable adults. 
2.    Working within Education. 
3.    Short-term, solution-focussed work (including EAP, corporate and business employee support). 
4.   Parent Coaching  
5.   Child-led play for ages 6 to 12 years – one to one and group settings. 
6.    Young people and risky behaviours. 
7.    Trauma Informed practice – therapeutic and organisational 
8.   Ethical practice - supervision provides a clear and open space to discuss ethics on a regular basis.

I will support you in your on-going knowledge of good practice and ethics - whether you are new to therapy practice or an established counsellor.

Prior to the first session, I ask you to consider what you would like to achieve in your personal supervision, so I ensure your goals are kept front of mind.  During your first session we review your current client workload and your experience of supervision to date.  Hopefully, you will find the supervisory relationship both supportive and motivating for your career. 

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
