Welcome to my profile - I’m glad you stopped by.

If you’re a woman looking for support and counselling while experiencing associated symptoms, I am here to help you through this challenging time.

Menopause brings about a wide variety of symptoms with most women reporting anxiety, stress and physical ailments such as hot flushes as their main concerns.

It can be extremely difficult to deal with the combinations of symptoms experienced and it can often lead to feelings of loneliness and confusion.

Does the above resonate with you? Have you been feeling like things are out of control due to menopause? Please, read on.

Menopause Counseling & Support Services

During a time when your body is undergoing so many changes, it is crucial to take care of your mental health too.

Through the one-to-one support I offer, you can learn strategies that practically help with menopause symptoms so that you gain back control of your thoughts and feelings.

It is my goal to ensure that I help you feel more like yourself, and as a woman myself, I truly understand what you are going through right now.

Whether this is the first time you have experienced anxiety or what feels like debilitating stress, or you’ve suffered for quite some time, I am on your side. As a counsellor with over 24 years of experience, I can deliver a therapy service that is right for you.

Free Consultation

It’s important to find the right fit for you when you decide to seek counselling or therapy. With this said, if you are considering my services I’d like to offer a free 15-minute consultation.

We’ll have the opportunity to chat about some of the things that are bothering you and making life seem unmanageable.

Circumstances And Experiences Do Not Define You

I work with adults and teenagers to resolve and prevent the issues that have caused difficulty in your life from surfacing again. This is achieved through finding the right paths forward in honest and implementable ways.

There may be a part of your life that has caused great difficulty, but the next steps are ones of empowerment, happiness, wellbeing, and success.

The people I work with describe me as a relaxed and welcoming counsellor, with a good sense of humour when needed - this is especially true when it comes to working with teens!

I offer a chance to authentically connect without the formality you might feel apprehensive about. My clients often talk about an increase in confidence and the opportunity to be open in ways that allow them to lead a more positive life for themselves and with those around them.

Since 1995 I have been working with clients from a wide range of circumstances and I practice a variety of counselling techniques. I have been very lucky to train with Paul McKenna, Richard Bandler (co-creator of NLP) and Roger Callahan (creator of TFT Thought Field Therapy).

If you would like to move past difficult life stages, experiences or feelings, and enjoy more happiness in your life, call or send me a message and together we’ll create a plan that’s right for you.

I am currently providing relaxed sessions via Zoom online or Phone.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Managing Menopause

The average age of the menopause is 51, but the start of the peri menopause is on average 41 years of age. This can be younger.

Our menopause support program is a non-medical intervention delivered through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The course is developed on evidential research by a clinical physiologist and through the efficacy of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

It is developed for people who are experiencing menopausal symptoms due to a natural or a medical menopause and regardless of age.

It works for women who are currently using HRT, or those who cannot use HRT for medical reasons, or do not want to. The courses are delivered to provide techniques and tools to empower sufferers to manage their symptoms associated with the menopause. Women report anxiety, stress, hot flushes and insomnia as their top concerns.

The program helps users learn strategies to control their thoughts and feelings. We provide day time courses and evening courses. They are run over a six week cycle and each session lasts two hours. There is work required in-between each session for maximum results.

At present, all our courses are run online via Zoom. We will be offering face to face courses in London and the South East once we have permission from Health England, but will continue our online courses as well.
