About me

Senior Accredited Counsellor | Anxiety | Panic | Exam Stress | Teens | CBT | EMDR | NLP | Women’s Health

Welcome and thank you for visiting my profile

I offer both online and face-to-face counselling to support a range of emotional and psychological difficulties including:

Anxiety and panic attacks
Social anxiety
Stress and burnout
Low self-esteem
Many people who come to therapy with me feel stuck, overwhelmed or unsure how to move forward. My approach is collaborative, compassionate and practical, using a blend of evidence-based therapies such as CBT, EMDR, NLP, and TFT.

Together, we work to understand what you are experiencing and develop strategies that help you feel more emotionally balanced and in control.

Anxiety and Emotional Wellbeing

Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek therapy. Whether it takes the form of constant worry, panic attacks, health anxiety or social anxiety, it can affect your sleep, relationships, confidence and quality of life.

I support clients to:

Understand and reduce their symptoms
Learn tools for calm and confidence
Build long-term emotional resilience

Counselling helps change the way you relate to anxiety, rather than feeling trapped by it. My role is to help you find the most effective approach for your needs, using proven therapeutic methods that lead to lasting change.

Therapy for Teenagers and Young People

Young people today face a wide range of challenges, including academic stress, social media pressure, climate anxiety, identity questions and friendship dynamics. I provide a confidential, welcoming space where teenagers can explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement.

Therapy for adolescents can improve:

Emotional regulation and communication
Confidence and self-esteem
School performance and peer relationships

With many years of experience as a school counsellor, I understand the complexities young people face and how to help them navigate this stage of life with greater clarity, confidence and support.

Since starting therapy, I’ve been able to manage my anxiety and communicate more effectively with my parents. I feel more confident and haven’t had a panic attack in months.”

Menopause and Women’s Mental Health

Hormonal changes during perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause can bring emotional challenges such as anxiety, mood swings, grief, brain fog and low self-esteem. These shifts can affect your identity, relationships and wellbeing.

I offer individualised, one-to-one support to help you manage your symptoms with practical strategies and emotional insight. Sessions are always tailored to your unique experience and may include CBT, EMDR, NLP or other integrative approaches.

Therapy during menopause can help you:

Understand what is happening in your mind and body
Feel emotionally steady and more in control
Regain a sense of connection and clarity

A Therapist Who Listens Without Judgement

I work with both adults and teenagers to explore what is no longer working and to find new, manageable ways forward. Even if there have been painful or difficult parts of your life, the next chapter can be about empowerment, wellbeing and emotional freedom.

Clients describe me as relaxed, welcoming and warm. I bring a good sense of humour when appropriate and always offer a non-judgemental space to speak openly and feel truly heard.

Your circumstances do not define you. Healing and change are possible.

Managing Menopause

The average age of menopause in the UK is 51, though perimenopause can begin as early as your 30s or 40s. For some, symptoms start even earlier due to surgical or medical menopause.

Our non-medical menopause support programme is designed for anyone navigating these changes, regardless of age or stage. It is grounded in the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and based on evidence developed by a clinical physiologist.

This approach has helped many women to manage symptoms such as:

Anxiety and low mood
Hot flushes
Insomnia and night sweats
Brain fog and overwhelm
Low confidence or identity shifts
The course is suitable whether you are:

Currently using HRT
Unable to use HRT for medical reasons
Choosing not to use HRT
The programme gives you practical tools and strategies to understand and change the way you respond to symptoms. You will learn how to manage unhelpful thoughts and feelings, build emotional resilience, and feel more in control of your day-to-day life.

🧭 How I Work
My approach to counselling is integrative, grounded in humanistic values and supported by evidence-based techniques. I believe in creating a space of acceptance, respect and trust, where you can feel safe to explore what’s troubling you and find new ways forward.

🌿 Humanistic Counselling
At the heart of my work is a belief in your potential for growth and healing. Humanistic counselling is a collaborative, non-judgemental process that helps you reconnect with your strengths, values and inner resilience. The focus is on you as a whole person, not just a problem to be solved.

✋ Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
TFT uses gentle tapping on acupressure points along the body’s meridians to help release emotional distress. This technique can support the release of:

Anxiety and panic
Phobias and fears
Emotional blocks and trauma
TFT is a simple but effective way to shift unhelpful emotional patterns and feel more balanced.

🧠 Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP offers practical techniques to help you make meaningful changes in your thoughts, behaviours and emotional responses. These strategies are often quick and accessible, and can help you:

Reduce stress and anxiety
Shift unhelpful thought patterns
Build confidence and motivation
Respond to life with more control and calm
NLP can be especially helpful if you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed and want to reclaim a sense of purpose and direction.

👁 EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
EMDR is a powerful, structured approach to help process and resolve past traumas or deeply distressing experiences. It is widely used for:

PTSD
Childhood trauma
Grief and loss
Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
Through EMDR, I guide you in reprocessing difficult memories, allowing the emotional intensity to lessen so you can move forward with greater calm, clarity, and confidence.

Many clients find EMDR transformative, especially when other therapies have not gone deep enough. It can be a gentle but life-changing step on your journey to healing.
