About me
As a person-centred counsellor of experience, my humanistic approach helps you look at yourself in a more accepting and conscious way and for you to gain your own insights and realisations, rather than me interpreting your thoughts and ideas. I also have experience of supporting Adults with childhood trauma (ch-PTSD) by way of the Advanced Image Rescripting technique which has been found to be very effective in relieving the symptoms of childhood post- traumatic stress.
My aim is to provide you with a safe and supportive environment wherein you can explore what is troubling you, and sometimes you don't know why you feel a certain way, but by exploring you can find links and reach decisions, as appropriate, and really move forward with your life.
I feel that we can understand that life can sometimes not go exactly to plan either by our own or others' choices, or situations beyond our control. This can lead to unpleasant experiences and feelings triggering resistance and unwanted emotions which can leave us sometimes feeling stuck, incapable of making sense of what's going on and not knowing how to move forward.
I offer counselling for a broad range of presenting concerns, including relationship difficulties and breakdown, anxiety and depression, stress at work and post traumatic stress (PTSD). My working days are Monday - Friday 9.00 - 7.00 pm.
My practice is to arrange an initial session, for which I charge £20.00, so that we can judge whether we will be able to work productively together. I welcome enquiries from both Adults and young people (17+).

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
