About me

Office Hours: Monday- Friday 9am-3pm.

(Currently, I have availability.)

I offer online video or telephone counselling appointments all over the UK.

In person appointments take place from my practice based in Coventry CV5. The therapy room is up a flight of stairs. Street parking is available and is easily accessible by public transport; rail/bus.

Life isn’t necessarily straightforward or easy going… and contrary to belief, we are not infallible.

As an experienced therapist, I offer wellbeing support to people who are experiencing inner turmoil. Albeit be periods of transition; growing older moving away, connecting and separating, changing jobs, and unexpected loss …ect, adverse experiences or supressed trauma, develop holistic understanding and begin to experience relief and better connections with themselves, others or/and outlook on life.

My therapy room offers a place of refuge and connection. Whatever you choose to bring, will be broached with sensitivity, compassion and worked through at a pace comfortable to you. Having a dependable person on a consistent basis and freedom to focus on yourself, your life experiences, or process your thoughts and feelings, can be incredibly transformative, provide a sense of relief, clarity, renewed optimism and hopefulness.

I work relationally, which is to say I’m far from a ‘detached analytical figure’ in the room, but a person of warmth, an ‘old soul’ and ‘down to earth attitude’, whom respects individual uniqueness, circumstances and paths in life. I uphold my Professional integrity and competencies by being compliant with BACP ethical standards.

Therapy, like life isn’t always a comfortable experience. At times therapy can be emotive and heavy-going, but that’s not to say light-heartedness, laughter and the odd profanity is unheard of or doesn’t have a place. Ironically enough, therapy can be the most enjoyable part of the week.

Mustering the strength to reach out and endure therapy may seem daunting, but so can continuing living a life feeling relentlessly difficult or unsatisfying.

So, If you have reached the point where you feel 'enough is enough', that 'something has got to shift', but are unsure what it is? what that looks like? or how to go about it? You don’t have to figure it out alone, I would like to help. I am hopeful together we can discover what brings the healing and life fulfilment you desire and deserve.

Training, qualifications & experience

My BA Person Centred Counselling degree was attained at the University of Warwick. I am a experienced and qualified counsellor; Registered member with the Accredited Board; BACP, hold Professional Liability insurance, and an Enhanced DBS.

Prior to qualifying as a psychotherapist, I held many professional roles within both Public and Charitable Sectors over 18 years, supporting Adults, Young People and Families experiencing distress or difficulty. Particularly in areas relating to; Trauma, Identity, Culture and Sexuality, Ability, Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Relationship Difficulties, Child loss, Health issues, Terminal illness, Motivation, Self Esteem /Confidence and Personal Development.

Alongside my PP, I also provide Counselling Services for a Charity for individuals/family/friends impacted by Cancer diagnosis or bereavement.

Experience has taught me not one therapeutic modality/approach is ‘a one size fits all’. Therapy at its best is uniquely tailored to understand your unique circumstances and needs. Where / if appropriate drawing upon a variety of therapeutic tools and strategies, to safely bring into awareness and explore any felt unease, distress or trauma without you feeling completely overwhelmed or misunderstood.

If my experience/style or our availability doesn’t marry up, I am more than happy to offer guidance to find the support you need.

You are welcome to contact if you have any further questions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
