About me
Where to begin
Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially if you are unsure where to start. If you are reading this, you have already taken an important and positive step. It takes courage to acknowledge that something is not quite right and to seek help, and you do not have to do that alone.
How I can help
I am an accredited therapist offering support with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety (both general and health-related), confidence and self-esteem, the impact of traumatic experiences, and other challenges that may be affecting your wellbeing. Whatever brings you to therapy, we can take time to understand it at your pace.
A little about how I work
I have worked within mental health settings for around 20 years and have experience both professionally and personally of the complexities people face within families and everyday life. I share this to reassure you that I am comfortable working with a wide range of issues and that you do not need to worry about being “too much” or saying the wrong thing.
My approach is person-centred. I aim to offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening for you. I listen carefully to your experience and work alongside you to explore and gently unpick what may be contributing to how you are feeling.
Therapy with me is a space to feel heard, understood, and validated, as well as a time to pause, reflect, and make sense of things in a way that feels right for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I look forward to working with any type of issues you may be wanting to bring to sessions and will hold this space for you.
I do have experience with being a carer, supporting those who have been carer's and those who have been cared for. I appreciate how difficult this is and offer the space to hear your experience without judgement, knowing how important it can be to just be heard without feeling guilt.
I have also been diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia so i am neuroaffirming and understanding of these conditions.
