About me

My name is Dianne, I am a person-centred counsellor, offering in person, online and telephone counselling services in Elgin, Moray, North East Scotland.

Sometimes in life, we are presented with life experiences that challenge and generate a distressing emotional or physical response that can become overwhelming.

I can help you by listening to your troubles, offering a warm and safe space to explore your feelings, and guide you to a more positive place. We cannot underestimate the legacy of stress and anxiety caused by the pandemic, it has impacted us all ways we could never have imagined. I specialise in anxiety and stress related behaviours that can impact every aspect of your life.

I offer face to face, online and telephone sessions in evenings and Saturdays at present. I use Teams or WhatsApp for online sessions.

Further information

I work from my summerhouse in my back garden. It is a peaceful space, I use it for seeing clients face to face, and online to ensure confidentiality at all times while I work.

Person centred counselling is a talking therapy which allows you to explore your feelings around situations that are affecting you, these could be in the past or in the present. When a person is listening to you, truly listening, without judgement, it allows you to process how you are responding to life events. My time with you is completely yours in your session to talk about anything you wish.

Our sessions are bound by confidentiality. Our first session will involve discussing my contract with you. This explains the way I work, this can be emailed to you before our session.

I am a member of COSCA, the counselling body for Scotland. I am bound by their code of Ethics, please feel free to look at their website cosca.org.uk to access these codes and their complaints procedure if required.

As part of my duty of care to you, I have a clinical supervisor who I meet with in person, monthly. This ensures my practice is safe, and I am adhering to the COSCA rules of membership. These sessions are completely confidential.

Thank you for reading, I hope to talk with you soon. Please contact me if you have any queries.
