About me
I offer face to face or online counselling to adults (18+). I have extensive experience of supporting clients with issues including bereavement, relationship difficulties, emotional abuse, anxiety, stress, sleep issues (insomnia), anger and depression. I also offer support to cancer patients.
I offer a warm, supportive space where we can explore together the events that are making your life difficult and help you find a new understanding of your life experiences and a different way of dealing with things.
I am an Integrative counsellor, meaning that I am trained in a number of theoretical approaches (person centered, psychodynamic, cognitive behaviour therapy - CBT and existential) and I tailor my approach according to what is useful to my clients.
The benefit of coming for counselling is that you will to be listened to without judgement by someone who isn’t personally involved in your life. You can say what you honestly think and feel without fear of upsetting the listener. You don’t need to protect the counsellor from your true feelings. This level of honesty and openness gives you the opportunity to explore how you genuinely feel.
You might be looking for help with a specific issue, or simply feel the need for some emotional support while you find your way through a difficult time. Counselling can help you find clarity and help you move forward with a renewed sense of hope and confidence.
I offer my clients the opportunity to meet me either online or face to face or a hybrid of the two, if that is the most convenient. If you are interested in working this way, we can talk about in our initial consultation.

I am a registered member of the BACP and I adhere to their ethical framework. I also fulfil their requirements for continuing professional development and supervision.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
