About me

Welcome – I’m Claire

I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative counsellor, with 4-years of experience supporting clients through life's ups and downs. I believe that each person, given the right conditions, has the capacity to grow, change, and determine the path that their life takes. Ultimately, you know what is best for you.

I understand that seeking help can be a difficult and sometimes overwhelming decision. My aim is to offer you a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement

As a humanistic counsellor I tailor my approach to your unique needs and preferences. I strive to create an open, genuinely empathetic, and accepting environment where you feel  heard and understood. Together, we work collaboratively to explore your inner world, identify patterns of behaviour, and uncover the underlying issues contributing to your struggles.

Working in both local charities and private practice, , I have developed extensive experience helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges, with a particular focus on:

Anxiety & Depression: Helping you manage overwhelming thoughts, build resilience, and find a sense of calm.
ADHD & Neurodivergence: Offering a validating, supportive space to explore executive dysfunction, emotional regulation, and navigating a world not always built for neurodivergent minds.
Eating & Sleeping Problems: Working gently to unpack your relationship with food, body image, or sleep disturbances.
Relationship Issues: Exploring patterns of connection, boundaries, and communication with partners, family, or friends.

Whether you are feeling lost and uncertain about the future, or are simply struggling to navigate life’s daily challenges, we will work together to understand your world on your terms. No judgement, no expectations just a safe space to figure things out and decide what you want to change.

I offer 1:1 counselling tailored to fit your lifestyle and comfort levels. You can choose from:

In-Person Sessions: Held in a comfortable, private, and quiet setting.
Remote Sessions: Available nationwide via secure online video or telephone.
Walk and Talk: brings counselling outdoors, combining the psychological benefits of traditional therapy with the grounding effect of walking side-by-side in nature.
If you feel ready to take the next step, please reach out to arrange an Introductory Call.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
