About me

My Approach:

I am a qualified and experienced integrative therapist, I am intuitive and naturally empathic. I offer a non-judgemental, confidential environment, to help and support you in self-discovery. I believe that by exploring together and talking about your experiences safely, can lead to further self-awareness.

How can Counselling help me?

Being overwhelmed can become a daily sensation. Starting therapy can be a daunting process. I provide a safe space, where we can work at a pace that suits you, where the therapeutic process is at the centre of the work.

Our sessions will be private, and by working in collaboration together, we can gain insights and understanding into your thoughts and experiences, feelings and behaviours.

I work as an integrative psychotherapist, my approach is person-centred and psychodynamic, I also incorporate (CBT) - behavioural therapy to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. These approaches will help you understand your feelings better. Exploring your past relationships and history with you, can assist your understanding and can help bring about change.

Working online; is another way you can access therapy, this can be a helpful alternative, that you can access at your own convenience.

By accessing online therapy, you can get the help you need and at times that work for you. This ease of use, can fit in with your schedule and create less impact on daily priorities.

Accessing online therapy is as comfortable and safe, as face-to-face. It's your choice.

In our first session:

I will ask what brought you to enter therapy and any concerns you have. I would also like to understand your family and personal history. It's my experience that when a decision is taken to enter into therapy, some subjects feel urgent. We can start where you feel most comfortable.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
