About me

I am an Integrative Children's Counsellor dedicated to providing holistic and comprehensive support to children and adolescents as they navigate the challenges of growing up. With a background in various therapeutic approaches, I am committed to tailoring my counselling to the unique needs and preferences of each young client, helping them achieve emotional well-being and personal growth.

Using Person-Centred foundations, I am committed to providing a supportive and empathetic space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. With a deep belief in the innate capacity for personal growth and self-awareness, I work collaboratively with clients to help them navigate challenges, foster self-acceptance, and discover their own solutions.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Foundation Degree in Integrative counselling.
  • Diploma in Children and Young Peoples counselling.
  • Certificate in Trauma Informed Practice.
  • ASSIST trained
  • Diploma in CBT

I have 2-years of experience practising as a Person-Centred Counsellor, both in private practice and within clinical settings.

My experience includes:

Providing individual counselling to clients from diverse backgrounds, spanning a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Creating a warm, nonjudgmental, and empathetic therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions.
Collaborating with clients to identify and clarify their goals, values, and areas they wish to work on, allowing them to drive the therapeutic process.
Utilising active listening, reflective techniques, and empathetic responses to help clients gain deeper insights into their feelings and experiences.
Encouraging clients to tap into their own inner resources, strengths, and resilience as they navigate their personal journey.
Adapting my approach to suit the unique needs, preferences, and pace of each client, recognising that they are the experts of their own lives.
Approach: My therapeutic approach is firmly rooted in the Person-Centred philosophy developed by Carl Rogers. I believe that every individual possesses the inherent ability to understand themselves and make positive changes when provided with a supportive and accepting environment. I focus on building a genuine and trusting therapeutic relationship, fostering an atmosphere where clients feel valued, heard, and understood.

Ethics: Ethical practice is a cornerstone of my counselling work. I prioritise confidentiality, respect, and the autonomy of each client. I regularly engage in supervision and continuing education to ensure that my practice remains in alignment with the highest ethical standards and current research.
