About me
Hello! My name is Cassandra.
DAMEs is a counselling service for women, delivered by me. I started DAMEs as a stand-alone name to allow women more privacy if they wish it.
Whether you are in crisis, in transition or just stuck in a rut, DAMEs can support you to discover more joy in your life and assist you to live more in alignment with your true values. I aim to do this by helping you uncover what it is that gives you a sense of internal balance, peace and optimism.
You will be received in a safe and confidential space without prejudice and be supported to speak openly and freely. I aim to identify and challenge the thought patterns and behaviours which may have restricted your development to allow fresh thinking to flourish.
During your sessions, we will explore the beliefs and attitudes, both conscious and subconscious, which have shaped your relationship with yourself and the wider world. By exploring your value system, I can assist you to reclaim your agency and take positive steps towards a more rewarding life.
I can help you process traumatic experiences, and work with you through difficult circumstances, and I am also particularly interested in supporting women to deal with generalised feelings of numbness, loss of identity or a lack of direction, purpose or meaning.
I am committed to strengthening your confidence, your resilience, and feelings of self-worth. From working together one-to-one, I have seen how women can grow, increase their levels of personal fulfilment, and feel more nourished to live a more intentional life.
If this sounds like you, feel free to email me any enquiries you may have, then we can arrange a session when you are ready. Sessions are paid upon each visit, and everything is taken at your own pace, with appointments being preferred weekly but flexibility is available if fortnightly is necessary.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I am particularly concerned with women who feel lost, numb or have a personal lack in their lives for whatever reason. Women who feel dislocated from their former selves, or want to reignite their curiosity and fervour for life and their interests. Whether this is something lost or never previously attained.
These states often follow transitions like divorce or bereavement, or when we just cannot take the repetition of our lives anymore and need change, but don't know what to do. A feeling of wanting to peak, sneak, or charge out of our comfort zone and into new territory.
I believe that through one-to-one work, dedicated to your personal development, we can begin to unravel layers of cultural conditioning, revealing more of your true self. I can support you to Restore & Revive ~ to discover where your interests, curiosities, and nourishments lie in your life.
If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you!
