About me
Hello, I'm Carole. I am a HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist based in East Renfrewshire near Glasgow and currently available for remote sessions throughout the UK.
I work with young adults and adults experiencing a range of difficulties over both long and short term including anxiety, stress, low mood, low self-esteem, chronic illness, disordered eating and relationship and family difficulties. I offer a warm, compassionate yet professional safe space for you to explore whatever is important to you. We will work together to identify goals for therapy and ways to help you manage better and achieve a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
I draw on a range of evidence-based psychological interventions customised to your unique needs and preferences. My main training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person Centred Therapy however I also integrate interventions from additional therapeutic approaches.
I understand it may be daunting reaching out to a stranger and I offer a free introductory 15 minute telephone session where you can ask any questions.
I have current availability on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays however I aim to be as flexible as possible when arranging sessions.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
