About me
Reaching out and asking for help is so hard sometimes isn't it? I fully appreciate what it must have taken to get this far.
Based in Ramsgate, I'm fully qualified, accredited, etc and I'm not going to throw all those unnecessary long therapy titles at you as I don't believe in any kind of power imbalance, however, rest assured you will be in safe hands, and everything we talk about will be 100% confidential.
The personal journey you're on isn't going to be easy, but I promise you, I will support you every step of the way to help you lead a more authentic, stress free life.
What can you expect from me? Good question. Honesty, an ethical practice, flexibility, humour (yes, it's ok to laugh in session!) and total professionalism. What do I expect from you? Just show up, then we can take it from there.
Qualified to practice in several different methods of counselling, with me you won't get a one size fits all service, what you will get is something that's seamlessly tailor made to fit you and only you, and if it doesn't fit we won't use it, simple as. When was the last time you had something like that? For many of us, the answer is never.
I work with whatever you bring to the room, and trust me, you can never shock me. Why? because only people who sit in judgement can be shocked, and my personal promise to you is I will never judge you, no matter what.
Having a background in the creative arena, Acting, Writing, Presenting, Voice work etc, means you get to access my wealth of experience to do with anxiety, panic attacks, feeling sad, low self esteem, depression, as well as bereavement, performance and social anxiety, general anxiety disorder, family and relationship issues like affairs or betrayal, sexual or communication issues etc and the LGBTQ community problems, including transgender and transitioning, plus BAME issues like diaspora and belonging.
We counsellors must keep up to date with changes in the health secotor by doing 40 hours a year CPD and currently my CPD is in Hypnotherapy and EMDR therapy at The University of Surrey. I'm a member of the IHA (International Hypnotherapy Association) and the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy) and can offer sessions at a reduced rate whilst in training.
Contact me and I promise to respond the same day.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
