About me

Hello, I'm Arron and I have 13+ years of experience in mental health.

My passion and work has always revolved around mental health. I made it a goal of mine to be able to promote and encourage peoples well-being. I am a very spiritual guy, I enjoy music, mindfulness, cooking, walks on the beach and seeing family.

I offer you a free conversation to see if counselling is right for you.

You can call or email myself to set up an initial session; here we can talk about what you want to get out of counselling and your expectations. If you're happy to continue following the initial consultation, I can set up a second session, and arrange to see you in the same way moving forward.

I work in a Person Centred Approach, meaning i will focus on your thoughts, feelings, patterns of relating to help understand your life through your experiences, to gain a better understanding of how to move forward with your life. The therapy relies on the quality of the relationship between the counsellor and the client. This is sometimes called a ‘way of being’, with the counsellor demonstrating what is known as the core conditions, which form the basis of the relationship.

I welcome any questions about counselling or mental health, so please do not hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Studies
  • Member of the BACP ( MBACP)
  • Worked for MIND counselling.

I have undergone many different training courses such as Trauma and ASSIST. I also have many years of experience in the care sector such as Care Homes, NHS, Mental Health hospitals and supported living.

This experience along with my training and counselling experience has improved my understanding of individual client needs in regards to Mental Health. Whether it's effecting you directly, or effecting you through other people closest to you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
