About me

Do you feel sad and anxious at times and cannot put your finger on why? Do you doubt and criticise yourself? From the outside, it looks like you have it all together, but you just go through the motions and the feeling of emptiness never really goes.

Until now having counselling may not have crossed your mind. I understand at first, it can be difficult to talk about how you really feel due to a fear of being judged or not feeling as if you are “allowed” to feel this way. I have personal experience of this and how transformative counselling with the right counsellor can be.

I offer face to face and online sessions via Zoom.

I offer a free 15 minute telephone call to explore together what you want from counselling.  If you feel I am the right person to work with you, we can set up an initial session.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor which means I use various modalities (including creative ones). I tailor my sessions according to what you need. I am also an Applied Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner (also known as tapping) this combined with counselling offers a different level of healing . I am a qualified online and telephone counsellor.

Advanced Specialist Diploma in Psychotherapy.

Advanced Diploma in Counselling

PG Diploma Social Work

I have extensive experience in and am passionate about working with individuals (children and adults) experiencing self esteem and self confidence issues, narcissistic abuse, anxiety, loss, bereavement, depression, difficulties from childhood, stress and relationship difficulties. How you feel matters, so I will work with you to put you at ease so you do not need to hide how you really feel. I offer a space for you to feel heard, valued and empowered to make the changes you want to make at your pace.

I offer a free 15 minute phone call to see how I can help you and if you feel comfortable working with me.

BACP

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
